The Sistas celebrate National SLP Day May 2024 with a wonderful luncheon. The fellowship was awesome!



SISTAs fundraiser "Line Dance Frenzy" was a success and so much fun! Thank you to our amazing instructors and the participants! The June 1, 2024, event helped to raise funds for scholarships and service.

The SISTAs of Middle Georgia receive $1,000 from The Prince Hall Grand Lodge Awards Banquet June 2024 to further our mission. Thank you! We are so appreciative.


The Sistas fellowship Nov. 21, 2024, at the Candlelight: Tribute to Adele. It was nothing short of amazing. SISTAhood is an important part of our organization.

The Sistas attend a holiday gathering Dec. 29, 2024. We enjoyed eating, laughing, playing games, and strengthening our SISTAhood. We exchanged cookies and took home a box for our families. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday!

Dr. Tiffany Scandrett, a Sista, was invited to Valdosta State University Feb. 22, 2025, to speak with students about speech-language pathology as a career. Here she is sharing her passion with students. Thanks for the invite!

Dr. Carla Brandi Smiley, an audiologist and Sista, received a donation February 2025 at the Fellowship Bible Baptist Church for her Hearing in Motion (H.I.M.) initiatives. She will be partnering with faith-based organizations to serve communities in need.


Dr. Angelica Gunn, a CSD professor and Sista, presented at GOSSLP March 2025. Teriona Hobbs, a Sista, attended the presentation on executive functioning and social-emotional learning and how those areas play a large role in communication.



The SISTAhood was strong at our yoga session May 31, 2025, with Slowe Wellness Solutions. Shanteria Lowe curated a yoga flow just for the Sistas that incorporated the use of our voices, and also strengthened and stretched our bodies. After, we enjoyed lunch and good conversation. Thanks to Home Grown Yoga for hosting us.







Another successful "Line Dance Frenzy" to raise funds for scholarships and service. The June 2025 event was our largest crowd yet! Thanks to the amazing instructors, photographer, and participants! We appreciate you all and could not do it without your support. Keep your ears on the ground for news of our next event!

The ladies enjoyed fellowshipping and discussing the profession and tips for professional and career growth. Thanks to Teriona for planning the outing!
